Description
31 High Street is a building originally designed as an attached house, now functioning as a shop. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone alterations in the mid-20th century.
The main facade is finished with colourwashed render, features stone copings, and has a pantile roof with a rendered stack located at the south end. The building has a double-depth plan and consists of two storeys with a one-window range. On the ground floor, there is a mid-20th century glazed shopfront and a recessed glazed door to the left, accompanied by a plain fascia. The first floor features a central sixteen-pane sash window topped with a blind parapet.
Inside, there are no surviving elements of the original room layout or any notable architectural features. The building is part of a group with the adjacent No. 33, which is also listed at Grade II.
