Description
Pensford Viaduct is a railway viaduct built in 1874. It is constructed from rubble with brick soffits to the arches. The structure features a series of arches arranged in a pattern of four, one, three, three, one, and four, supported by tall and slender tapering piers. The central pier and the flanking piers of the lower arches (5 and 13) are thicker and panelled. The viaduct includes voussoirs, a low parapet, and a plain band above. It serves as a significant landmark and feature of the village of Pensford.
