Description

This is an early 19th-century terrace of cottages located on West Street. The terrace comprises numbers 16 to 26 (even), with numbers 14 to 26 forming a cohesive group; number 14 is of local interest only. The cottages are two storeys and have attics. They are stuccoed, with painted cobbles to the rear. Each cottage has one window on each floor; the windows are a mix of Victorian-style sashes and modern replacements. The doorways are of a stable type. The building features a brick modillion eaves cornice, and the roof is covered with Mansard tiling.
