Description
The former Buckingham Arms Public House, likely built around 1800 or earlier, has undergone significant modifications. It is a two-storey building with attics, finished in stucco. The roof is M-shaped, covered with slates, featuring coping on the gables and a parapet facing the street to the south, which has a narrow frontage. On the south side, there is one sash window with glazing bars. The longer east side, facing Buckingham Road, has four sash windows with glazing bars, although the two on the left are blind. In the attic, there are four casement windows. To the north, there is a two-storey extension. The ground floor corner has been remodeled during the Victorian period and features six pilasters, which are fluted in their upper sections, paired at the ends and around a bevelled corner doorway.
