Description

Nos 75 and 76 Marine Parade are an early 19th-century building of four storeys and a basement, originally containing two windows each. The facade is stuccoed, with a cornice and parapet detail. A wooden balcony with a hood is located on the first floor. No. 75 has a flat front with long and short quoins. No. 76 features a curved front, embellished with fluted pilasters extending from the first to the third floors. The glazing bars have been lost from both windows. The doorway of No. 75 has been modernised since the last survey, while the side doorway of No. 76, on New Street, has lost its Doric columns and hood supported by large consoles, but retains the grooved reveal to the arch. Buildings 74 to 79 form a group.
