Description
Bedford Cottage is a house dating from around 1800 that has been altered. It is constructed of coursed rubblestone with yellow and red brick dressings and features a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of two bays. The front of the house has yellow-brick quoins, quoined surrounds, and arches over the openings, along with stepped dentilled eaves. There is a doorway on the left with a narrow window above it, and a wider window to the right on each floor; all openings are currently boarded up. A flat-roofed dormer, also boarded up, is present. To the right, there is a yellow-brick gable stack. The rear of the house has red brick quoins and surrounds, with a doorway on the right and a large window to the left on each floor. These rear windows have been replaced with 20th-century windows, and the ground-floor window features a cemented lintel, while the window above has been altered. The eaves were rebuilt in the late 20th century.
