Description

This is an early 19th-century terrace of three houses located on Marine Parade. The terrace comprises numbers 77 to 79. It is four storeys high and originally contained eight windows in total. The facades are stuccoed, with the ground floor of numbers 78 and 79 rusticated. The fronts of numbers 77 and 78-79 have curved elements, each featuring two windows. A cornice and parapet tops the building. The original window glazing bars remain intact. Number 77 has a slightly lower facade than numbers 78 and 79. It features only two windows, long and short quoins, and one ground-floor window has been converted into a door; it originally lacked a balcony. Numbers 78 and 79 form a pair and are slightly larger, each with three windows. Since the last survey, wooden balconies with hoods on the first floor have been removed. Stringcourses are present above the first and second floors. Numbers 74 to 79 form a noteworthy group.
