Description

Partridges is a house dating to the 17th century or earlier, and which has been altered in the early 20th century, with a matching bay added to the left. It is a timber-framed building now clad in weatherboarding, with a tiled roof. The house has two storeys and three windows, with gabled semi-dormers featuring plain bargeboards. The ground floor has three 20th-century wooden casements with jalousies, and a circular window to the right. A 20th-century doorcase is positioned centrally, featuring engaged Corinthian-style columns, a frieze with shell moulding and foliate motifs, and a flat hood with brackets. A 19th-century addition to the right, now a separate house called Dix’s, is not of special interest.
