Description
Burnt House Farmhouse is a former farmhouse, now a house, dating from the 17th century. It features a timber-framed structure that has been extensively restored, with a wing added to the right side in a matching style during the 20th century. The ground floor is finished in painted brick, while the first floor retains its timber framing, which includes long diagonal braces. It is likely that the original exterior was weatherboarded, as indicated by numerous nail holes. The building has a tiled roof with modern chimney stacks and stands two storeys high. The old part has three windows, and the 20th-century extension includes two casement windows. To the left side, there is a gabled projection. The left side also features three modern mullioned and transomed casements, along with a 20th-century framed porch that has a penticed tiled roof. At the rear, there is a 19th-century pump with a wooden casing and an iron pump topped with a ball at the end of the handle.
