Description

This is a late Medieval house and shop, with a 17th-century addition that was refronted in the 18th century. A right-hand extension is mainly of painted brick, with a part-tiled roof covered in slate. The building has two storeys and two casement windows. A late 19th-century shop front projects from the ground floor. The left-hand side of the building, which likely dates to the 17th century or earlier, was refaced in the early 19th century. The front elevation is tile-hung, while the left side is stuccoed. The roof is tiled. The building has a two-storey section with a gable facing the street. The attic storey contains a single 9-pane fixed sash window, the first floor has a 20-pane sash window within a moulded architrave, and the rebuilt ground floor incorporates a 24-pane tripartite sash window. A flush-panelled door from the early 19th century is on the left-hand side. The interior was not inspected, but the roof is reported to have been altered.
