Description
Horsgate Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates back to the 16th century but was refronted in the 19th century. The front elevation features stucco on the ground floor and tile hanging on the first floor, while the rear part is constructed of red brick with some traces of square framing. The building has a tiled roof and is two storeys high with three windows. The 19th-century casement windows include one that is built into a square bay on the ground floor, along with a modern doorcase. Inside, the farmhouse contains a late 16th-century inglenook fireplace and a ceiling with spine beams and joists, all featuring lamb's tongue stops. There is also an 18th-century four-panelled door.
