Description

4 and 6 Church Street is a timber-framed building, likely from the 17th century, with later alterations in the 18th century. Originally one structure, No 6 appears to have been added later. The front of No 4 features hipped flints with red brick dressings, quoins, and an eaves cornice, while No 6 is entirely constructed of brick. The roof is made of Horsham slabs. No 4 has modern shop windows, but the glazing bars are otherwise intact. No 6 includes a doorway with a moulded architrave surround, a flat hood supported by brackets, and a door with four fielded panels. The building has two storeys and an attic in No 4, with a total of five windows and two window spaces, plus one dormer.
