Description
The White Hart Hotel is a building located on Henfield High Street, with its north half dating from the 17th century or earlier. This part features exposed timber framing and red brick infilling in the north wall, although it has been refronted with red brick on the ground floor and is tile-hung above. The roof is covered with Horsham slabs and has a gable at the front. The ground floor windows are modern, while the upper floor has casement windows. A massive sandstone chimney breast is present on the north wall. The south half of the building is from the early 19th century, with red brick on the ground floor and red mathematical tiles above. It has a tiled roof and retains sash windows with glazing bars. The hotel has two storeys and an attic in the gable, with a total of five windows.
