Description

No. 38 High Street was built in 1886 as the Town Hall for Steyning when it was a separate Rural District. The building is designed in the Georgian tradition and is two storeys tall with three windows. It is constructed of red brick and features an eaves cornice and a hipped roof made of Horsham slabs. The ground floor has two bays and includes a stone four-centred doorway with moulded jambs and a dripstone. The date "1886" is displayed above the doorway.
