Description

12 West Pallant is an early 18th-century house of substantial size, originally with three storeys and cellars. It has five windows on each principal floor. The house is constructed of red brick with a panelling to the parapet and a string course above each floor level. The sash windows are set in flat arches, retaining their original glazing bars, with thicker bars to the second-floor windows. The arches are highlighted by rubbed brick voussoirs. A two-storey addition with one window has been added to the west side of the building. A porch with wooden Doric columns and an entablature leads to the entrance, rising four steps. The entrance door has six fielded panels within panelled reveals. Numbers 9 to 12 form a notable group.
