Description
No. 5 West Pallant is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys high with an attic. It features six bays, with a windowless bay at the western end that is flush with the surface of No. 4. The five other bays contain windows and project slightly forward. Above the ground floor, there is a stringcourse, and a cornice with modillions is located above the first floor. The building has two dormers, and the three central window bays project slightly, each topped with a pediment and a semi-circular window in the tympanum. The sash windows are set in shallow reveals with flat arches, which have rubbed brick voussoirs and keystones. The doorway is framed with a moulded surround and features a pediment. The door itself is a six-panel moulded design, with the top two panels cut away and glazed. No. 5 is part of a group that includes the former Church of All Saints and the Toc H Meet House, as well as Nos 1 to 8 (consecutive).
