Description
Hogwood Farm is a house dating from the early to mid 17th century, designed as a lobby entrance house. It features 19th and 20th century alterations, including a rear lean-to and modern window fittings. The building is timber-framed with exposed box-framing, diagonal braces, and plaster infill. The left side elevation is tile-hung, and it has a half-hipped tiled roof with a central brick chimneystack. The house is two storeys high and has two windows, which are 20th century double or triple casements set in the original openings. There is a deep plinth, and the original doorcase, which was centrally located on the front elevation, has been relocated to the left side. Inside, there is an open fireplace with a wooden bressumer, along with exposed axial beams and an exposed wall-frame.
