Description

The wall within the curtilage of No 1 on Tower Street dates from around the 18th century. It encloses the garden on the south side and is constructed of flint and brick, featuring a brick capping. The wall stands approximately 7 feet high, but on the south side, beyond the entrance to the yard in the southwest, it rises to about 10 feet, with a combination of brick and flint and rendered coping. This wall is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 6 in consecutive order.
