Description
The walls and gate piers enclosing Providence Chapel date from the 19th century and feature varying construction dates. The wall on the east side is made of sandstone rubble with brick quoins and vertical courses of brick, standing about 7 feet high, and topped with brick coping. At the south end, there are gate piers flanking the entrance doors, constructed from grey headers with red brick quoins, leading to wooden doors. The wall on the south side is slightly lower, made of flint with two brick lacing courses below and topped with modern brick capping. The northern side has a taller wall, with the lower part made of flint and brick above.
