Description
Nos 1 to 3 on Chapel Street are 18th-century buildings consisting of two parallel ranges. They feature a tiled roof that is divided into two sections at the back and three sections at the front, with the highest part in the middle rising to a peak at the northern end. The buildings are constructed of red brick and stand two storeys tall, with a total of five windows. Nos 1 and 2 have sash windows with intact glazing bars, while No 3 has two-light casement windows. The doors are set in frames with pediments supported by consoles at No 2, and all doors are six-panelled and moulded, with the top two panels cut away and glazed. No 3, located at the northern end, faces Providence Place and has two-light casement windows above and four below. The windows are not aligned and vary in size. The red brick is accented with grey headers and features a dentilled cornice at the western end. The western gable end has brick cladding above and flint below, with brick quoins.
