Description
Toddington Farmhouse, also known as The Old Farmhouse, is a building dating from the 16th century or early 17th century. It features a south wing that is two storeys high and has two windows. The exterior is constructed from flints with red brick dressings, quoins, and a stringcourse. The building has crow-stepped gables and chimney breasts at both ends, with the east chimney breast being much wider than the west, which has modern shafts. The windows on the ground floor are modern casements, while the first floor has timber mullion windows with wider segmental arches. There is a six-panel door with fluted pilasters leading to a gabled projection, and two small blocked original mullion windows are present in the west wall. The roof is slate. Attached to the north is a 19th-century wing built in a similar style, also two storeys high, made of brick, and featuring four windows on the ground floor under segmental arches, along with two crow-stepped gables to the north.
