Description
17 High Street is a late 17th-century building constructed of brick, which is painted on the north elevation. It features a hipped tile roof, with the south gable end being tile-hung. The building has two storeys and attics, and is adorned with a moulded wooden eaves cornice. On the first floor, there are two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars on both the east and north elevations. The ground floor of the east elevation has three modern windows. The north elevation's ground floor includes a projecting bay shop front with a moulded cornice and a lean-to roof, which is concealed by a fascia board. There is a recessed door that is partly glazed, flanked by shop windows with glazing bars, one of which is curved on the east side. Additionally, there is one other window with glazing bars. The building also has two attic dormers facing north, featuring modern gables and casement windows.
