Chantry Cottage is an early 19th-century house on King Street. It is built of red brick with a grey brick stringcourse and a decorative false window above the front door, also constructed with grey brick. The roof is tiled, with red brick chimneys. The house has two storeys and two windows, featuring double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The front door is a partly glazed, six-panelled door set within a moulded surround topped with a pediment, approached by three modern steps. A brick modillion cornice runs along the eaves.
