Description
The east, south, and west walls of the kitchen garden at Arundel Castle date from the 19th century. These walls extend westward to the Butler's Lodge, with an additional section running perpendicular to it immediately north of Mount Pleasant and a northward extension along the west side of the churchyard. The walls are constructed of Purbeck stone, featuring piers, coping, and quoins made from Pulborough stone. At the churchyard end, there is an octagonal tower with a crenellated parapet and two lancet windows on each side. The structure also includes two pointed arches with chamfered reveals that frame doors, one of which is studded.
