Description

Horsell Grange is a house, originally built in the early 18th century and later extended and divided. The original part is constructed of brown brick with red brick dressings, with whitewashed brick on the right side. It has a hipped roof covered in plain tiles, with a ridge stack positioned to the left of the centre. The house is two storeys high, featuring a string course to the parapet and end pilaster piers. It has sash windows with gauged brick heads for three bays on the left, while two windows on the right have hoods above them. A single-storey passage projects forward towards the gable end and contains a recessed six-panel door with a traceried fanlight, sheltered by a 20th-century open segmental porch hood supported on scroll console brackets. Later 19th-century additions are visible on the right-hand return front, which include two tile-hung angle bays. A cottage is attached to the left-hand return front.
