Description

Nos. 84 to 88 on High Street in Old Woking is a row of cottages dating from the early 18th century. The exterior is finished in pebbledash, and it features a plain tiled roof with rendered end stacks and a stack located to the left of the center. The building has two storeys and consists of four central bays, which are separated from the two bay ends by piers. The majority of the glazing bar sash windows are original and set in recessed surrounds, with six windows across the first floor, although there are two blocked windows in the center. There are three 19th-century panelled doors; the outer doors are sheltered by open gabled hoods, while the door to the left of the center is beneath a flat hood supported by brackets and has an architrave surround (this is No. 86). There are 20th-century additions at the rear.
