Description
Little Gorsewood is a house dating from the 17th century, with 20th-century extensions. The building features a timber frame with whitewashed render cladding below and pebble dashed above, along with brick return walls. It has a plain tiled roof that is half hipped to the left, with a ridge stack located to the left of center and an end stack on the right. The house has two storeys, with three casement windows on the first floor and sash windows on the ground floor. There is a boarded door to the left of center that leads to a lobby entrance. At the rear, there is a parallel range built in 1960 that matches the style of the original building.
Inside, the ground floor reveals visible ceiling framing, a step-chamfered main beam, and a deep brick fireplace with a wooden lintel. The first floor showcases Queen post construction and remnants of wattle and daub in the roof.
