Description

GODALMING BINSCOMBE LANE SU 9645 NE (south-west side) 4/13 No 131 GV II

House. Early Cl9 with C15 or earlier roof timbers, altered. Red brick in Flemish bond; plain tile roof. 2 storeys; 2 bays with added rear range (not of special interest). Plinth. Central board door in wood frame with 3-light window to left, 2-light window to right, and two 2-light windows above, all openings with segmental brick arches, windows with 4-pane lights. Feet of old rafters visible at eaves. Stack at left end. Interior not inspected but recorded as having smoke-blackened, coupled, rafters with high-set pegged collars. Included for group value.
