Description
No 82 on High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the late 18th century and was altered in the 20th century. The building is made of red brick laid in Flemish bond and has a plain tile roof. It stands three storeys high and has three bays. The shop front, which is from the late 20th century, features end pilasters and a frieze that are styled to resemble those from around 1900. The upper floors have windows with flat brick arches and 20th-century two-light wooden casements, with the first floor featuring taller windows that are transomed. The eaves are dentilled. There is a 20th-century rear extension that is not considered to be of special interest. Inside, the roof has collared principal rafter trusses and butt purlins.
