Description

This is a barn located 30 metres north of Somerset Farm House, dating from the early 18th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with some sandstone blocks. The exterior is clad in weatherboard and topped with a large, well-crafted half-hipped plain tiled roof that extends over a pentice aisle. The barn consists of five framed bays and has opposing waggon doors on the right side, with additional stable doors on both the left and right. There is a pentice extension at the left end. Inside, the barn has a queen-strut roof supported by staggered butt purlins.
