Description
Aylwins Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with a 20th-century extension on the right side. It features a timber frame on a rendered plinth, with whitewashed brick infilling to the exposed frame made of thin scantling. The right side has brick and tile hung extensions. The cottage has plain tiled roofs and a stack located to the right of the center, originally situated on the end wall. It is one storey with attics in the center, which has two gabled, through-eaves, diamond-pane leaded casement dormers. The right side has two storeys with a jettied first floor added in the 20th century, featuring two leaded casements on the first floor. To the left, there is a one-storey pentice extension. The ground floor has four windows, and there is a door in the center set within a gabled porch. The rear of the cottage has modern wings.
