Description

Beacon Hill Lodge is a picturesque L-shaped lodge cottage dating from the 19th century, located on Churt Road in Hindhead. The building features a steeply pitched gable end facing the road, with a hipped gable on the return and a low lean-to in the angle. Its tiled roof is adorned with carved and pierced bargeboards and a tall chimney that has conjoined diagonal shafts. The exterior is constructed from crazy random rubble with freestone dressings. It includes three-light wood-mullioned windows that have Tudor heads. The ground floor has a projecting canted bay with a hipped roof, and there is an open loggia and a gabled porch on the right return.
