Description
Ewhurst Windmill is a former tower mill, now converted into a house. It dates from the early 19th century and has a 20th-century extension at the front. The structure is made of colour-washed and part rendered brick, topped with a conical wood and metal cap featuring a sphere finial. The mill sweeps still exist, although they lack shutters, and the fantail platform is intact. The circular tower tapers towards the top and now contains four inserted floors. The windows are casement style, positioned under gable hoods. At the front, there is a single-storey gabled extension with canted flank walls, featuring a glazed door with margin lights and an additional door at the rear, sheltered by a corrugated iron hood.
