Description
The Windmill is a tower mill that has been converted into a house. It dates from around 1820 and was converted and extended around 1970. The building is constructed from a mix of red and stock brick and features a 20th-century leaded roof with a timber parapet. The mill has a conical shape with a noticeable batter and stands four storeys tall. It has 20th-century windows set in the original round-headed openings, most of which have drip moulds. There are timber steps leading up to a first-floor timber balcony that runs around the entire structure. The glazed entrance is part of the 1970 extension and is considered to have no special interest. The interior was not inspected, and there is no surviving machinery or sails.
