Description

Birdsong Cottage, formerly known as Strange Cottage, is a house that dates from the late 16th century and has 20th-century extensions. The building features a timber frame set on a rendered plinth, with red and blue brick infill and tile hanging on the right side. It has a plain tiled roof that is hipped to the right, with an offset end stack on the left. The house is two storeys tall and has two framed bays on the left, along with a one-bay extension on the right. The first floor has two 20th-century diamond-pane leaded casements. A 20th-century glazed door is located to the right in the extension. The left-hand return front is tile hung, and there is a catslide roof at the rear.
