Description

Limpsfield Pound is a cattle pound dating from the mid-18th century. It features galleted coursed stone walls that are approximately 5 and a half feet high and forms a polygonal shape with a diameter of about 12 feet. This structure was used as a pound for stray animals until the 19th century. There is a bronze plaque on the west side, which was presented by Limpsfield Parish Council.
