Description

The Newbury Tomb, located 1 yard east of the vestry of the Church of St Nicholas in Godstone, is a chest tomb dedicated to Anne Newbury, who died in 1837. It features a stone chest with a flat lid that has moulded edges and angle piers. The tomb is enclosed by a railed surround with spear top railings and urn finials on the angle standards and the centre standard on the north and south sides.
