Description
Nethern Court House is a house dating from the 16th century, which was extended to the right in the late 19th century. It has a timber framed core that is encased in knapped flint, with brick quoins and dressings. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, featuring a rendered stack on the left and a front stack on the gable end of the right-hand wing. The building is L-shaped, with a court in the re-entrant angle and a wing that projects to the right. It has two storeys, with three leaded casements on the first floor to the left and ground floor windows that have cambered heads. There is one sash window in a raised brick panel at the centre of each floor on the right-hand wing. A planked door is located at the angle of the wings, set in a gabled brick porch. The rear of the house is tile hung, with some exposed framing, and features a catslide roof on the rear left.
