Description
Little Tilgates is a house dating from the 17th century, with substantial restoration in the 20th century. It is timber framed, with a rendered plinth and rendered cladding above a tile hung upper section. The roof is tiled with ridge cresting, and half-hipped over a rear wing, featuring a stack to the rear left. The house has a T-shaped plan, with two storeys and two 20th-century diamond-paned leaded casement windows on the first floor. A planked door is located in the right-hand return front, sheltered by a continuous pent roof porch. The interior exposes timber framing mainly in the ceilings, which are largely restored.
