Description
Fickleshole Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from knapped flint, featuring brick quoins and dressings, and has incised render on the left-hand return front. The building has a parallel range of plain tiled roofs with end stacks, and it stands two storeys tall with an attic, which is enhanced by two hip-roofed, tile-hung dormers. There is a plat band above the ground floor. The facade consists of five bays arranged in the pattern A-A-B-A-A, with sash windows that have cambered heads. The central entrance features a four-panel door beneath a pent porch hood supported by wooden posts, which stands on brick dado walls. To the right end of the house, there is a single-storey hipped roof range that is set back.
