Description
Wayside Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage with a 19th-century pent roof extension on the left side. It features a timber frame with thin scantling, which is exposed on the right-hand framed bay, while the left side has rendered cladding and a restored plain tile roof. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of two framed bays, with a part rebuilt offset end stack on the right. On the first floor, there are two diamond pane leaded casement windows. The ground floor has two windows, including a 4-light window on the right. There is a stable style door located on the right-hand return front, which is sheltered by a hipped hood. Additionally, there is a pent roofed half glazed extension at the left end and a catslide roof across the rear.
