Description

Pear Tree House is a house dating from the early 18th century, with extensions added in the late 18th century and the 20th century. The house is constructed of red brick, with some grey brick headers in the left section and extensions, and has plain tiled roofs, partly hidden by stone coped parapets and rendered gable ends. The main house is three storeys high, with single-storey extensions at each end. It has end ridge stacks to the main house, and a central ridge stack to the left extension.

The front of the house has a regular four-bay arrangement. The second floor has three sash windows, each with a gauged brick head, and a blocked window to the right of centre. The first floor has four 12-pane sash windows, alongside a blocked window to the right of centre. The ground floor has five 12-pane sash windows under gauged brick heads, all within moulded surrounds, and a further cambered head sash window in the left-hand extension. A six-panel door is situated on the right, within a projecting brick porch with a moulded surround and a small pediment on a scroll end frieze. There is also a cambered head sash window in the right-hand extension.
