Description
Frogpool House is a house from the mid-18th century that has been altered and restored in the 20th century. It is constructed of red and brown brick, featuring a tile-hung first floor on the right side and roughcast on the left side. The roof is plain tiled. The building is two storeys high and has a wooden modillion eaves cornice, with an end stack on the left. There are two glazing bar sash windows on each floor, each set in projecting architrave surrounds. The central entrance features a six-fielded panel door, which is framed by a large strip-pilaster surround topped with a dentilled cornice and a pediment supported by two bold blocked-out scroll brackets. At the rear, there are two hipped roof wings that extend at right angles to the front, along with a further lower 20th-century extension on the left side.
