Description
Westways Farm House is a house dating from around 1700, which was extended to the left and rear in the early 20th century. It is constructed of red and brown brick and features plain tile roofs, with hipped roofs over the extensions. The building has two storeys and includes end ridge stacks on the left of the main house and a ridge stack to the right of centre. The original part of the house has a symmetrical seven-bay front, with wood-framed mullioned and transomed leaded casement windows that have segmental heads on the ground floor. The central entrance features a six fielded panelled door set within an architrave surround, topped by a flat hood supported by acanthus leaf scroll brackets. To the left, there is a two-bay extension that is set back and designed in a similar style, along with further extensions set back on the left end. At the rear left, there is a wing at right angles that contains a large projecting window, and a parallel range is located to the rear right.
