Description

41 Clarence Street is a building dated 1835, originally constructed as a Literary and Scientific Institute. It was designed by architect William Mullinger Higgins. The building has two storeys and is rendered. The ground floor features pilasters and a frieze, while the first floor includes a listel, cornice, and parapet. The roof is concealed. There are five windows with glazing bar sashes, each with moulded architraves. The central doorway is adorned with a neo-classical pediment and a moulded surround, and it has a panelled door.
