Description

The bridge over the River Colne, located on the north side of Clarence Street in Staines, dates from around 1832 and is possibly designed by the Rennie Brothers. It is constructed of brick with granite voussoirs and features rendered pier capitals. Remnants of a roll-edged stone cornice can be seen. The north side of the bridge has arcaded cast-iron sections in the parapet, while the south side has a brick parapet. The bridge has been widened on both the north and south sides.
