Description

The remains of a bridge on the River Thames towpath (south bank) consist of stone bridge abutments from the earlier Staines Bridge, designed by Thomas Sandby in 1791. These abutments are located along the rear of Old Bridge Cottage and extend along the river towpath, forming a stone boundary wall at the back of White Lodge.
