Description
Cheswick Farm House is a 17th-century house with alterations and extensions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is timber framed and has whitewashed brick cladding at the base, tile hanging above and on the ends, and a plain tiled roof. The roof is hipped to the right side and features a large moulded ridge stack to the left of centre and an end stack to the right. The house is two storeys high with a gable lit attic. It is set at an angle to the street. The first floor has four 20th-century casement windows, three with cambered heads. A Tudor style door is located in a gabled brick porch to the left of centre. A single-storey extension from the 1930s is attached to the rear and connects to a neighboring property, which is not part of the listing.
The interior reveals much of the original timber framing with stop-chamfered main beams and joists to the ceiling frames. An old exterior wall survives inside, and deep brick fireplaces are present in the main rooms.
