Description

Vulcan Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage with extensions added in the 1930s. The original section is timber-framed and stands on a brick plinth, with whitewashed brick infill and tile hanging above on the extension to the right. The roof is tiled, featuring an off-centre end stack to the left and a front stack to the right. The building has an L-shaped layout, with a 20th-century wing added to the right. The left-hand range has two framed bays, containing two leaded casement windows on the first floor. A board door is located in a gabled porch in the centre of the left-hand range. Internally, the timber framing is visible. This building possesses group value from its contribution to the character of the area.
