Description

This is a house, originally a farm house, dating back to the 17th century. It has been restored and extended to the left-hand end in the 20th century. The house has a timber frame on a rendered plinth with whitewashed brick infill, and a plain tiled roof with a large moulded ridge stack in the centre. The layout is in an "I" shape, with cross wings forming gables at each end. The gabled wing is two storeys and has an attic, while the centre section is a single storey with an attic containing dormer windows ("lucarnes"). Leaded casement windows are present throughout, with those on the first floor above curved bases and under gabled hoods at the ends. A 20th-century Tudor-style door is set within a gabled porch to the left of the centre. Inside, the timber framing is exposed, along with two service doorways.
